It's a Weekend in the Nation's Capital!

EIGHT PREMIER TEAMS TRAVELED TO DC TO

COMPETE IN THE CAPITOL HILL CLASSIC!

Premier EDGE 18, Premier EDGE 17, Premier Phoenix, Premier EDGE 16, Premier Crush, Premier EDGE 15, Premier EDGE 14 and Premier Strikers competed for 3 days over over 950 teams with approximately 12,000 athletes.

Saturday


Playing in morning or afternoon waves on Saturday, each participating in 4 team pool and fought hard to stay in the running for the Gold.

With all of the players first time competing at Capitol Hill Classic,  Premier Strikers excited to experience the "big stage". It did not phase them and they went 3-0, not dropping set to take 1st in the pool in 13 Club Division and remain on track for gold.

With many of the girls' last time competing in CHC, Premier EDGE 18 had a tough pool in 18 Open Division and fought hard to finish 1-2 and decision for 2nd in the pool came down to set record and Premier EDGE 18 finished 2nd in the pool to stay in the running for gold. 

Also in the morning wave , Premier EDGE 15 met some tough competition in 15 Open and finished 1-2 and fall to the lower half of the bracket. 

Premier Crush worked hard in 16 Club and finished 2-1 for the pool and taking 2nd and remaining in the top half of the bracket.t 

Premier Phoenix faced the toughest competition and worked hard and finished 0-3. 

In the afternoon, it was three EDGE teams on deck with EDGE 17, 16 and EDGE 14.

Seeding 57th out of 64, Premier EDGE 17 has to fight some top seeds to move up into the top half of the bracket in 17 Open.  Finishing 1-2 like Premier EDGE 18 earlier in the day, they edge the other teams in the three tie on set and placed 2nd and stayed in the position for gold. 

Premier EDGE 16 worked hard and finished 2-1 in the pool  and were in tie for first place and took 2nd place based on head to head results with Waves and this kept them in gold contention in 16 Open

Like Premier EDGE 14, they battled  to go  2-1 and finished 2nd place based on the head to head results with MDJRS Elite and stay in the running for gold in 14 Open. 

Sunday

The teams remained in the upper half of their division played in the AM Wave and placed a lot of the competition.

Premier EDGE 18 perhaps the toughest with many girls over 6 foot and finished 0-3 and advanced to Bronze Playoff Bracket in 18 Open.

Premier EDGE 17 saw teams with a lot of athleticism and fought hard to finish 1-2 in three way tie for 2nd place and finished 3rd  to advance to Silver Bracket in 17 Open.

Premier EDGE 16 again facing the strong teams with height and speed finished 4th and advance to Bronze Bracket in 16 Open.

Premier Crush worked hard to finish 2-1 and advance to the Silver Bracket in 16 Open. 

Premier EDGE 14 with their heart and hustle battled height and speed were 1-2 and grab third and a spot in the Silver Bracket.

Premier Strikers made us all proud by finished 2-1 and taking 2nd the pool to stay in gold bracket of Top 16 teams. 

In the afternoon, it was Premier EDGE 15 and Premier Phoenix were on deck.

Premier EDGE 15, hoping to have to a better day, prove their ability  and finished 2-1  to finish 2nd in the pool play.  

Premier Phoenix in 17 Patriot continued to face solid teams with size and speed and finished 0-3. 

Monday


Premier Strikers kicked off the morning with the their run for gold. Facing the 1st seed, they worked hard and fall short and lost but they showed heart and determination to finished 9th out of 64 in club division. 

Premier EDGE 14, Premier EDGE 15 and Premier EDGE 18 all won their 1st playoff matches on Monday and lost their 2nd match in the bracket play.  All of the other teams lost their first playoff match.

Premier Strikers - 9th out of 64 teams in 13 Club
Premier EDGE 14 - 19th out of 64 teams in 14 Open
Premier EDGE 15 - 43rd out of 64 teams in 15 Open
Premier EDGE 16 - 29th out of 64 teams in 16 Open
Premier Crush - 21st out of 96 teams in 16 Club
Premier EDGE 17- 21st out of 64 teams in 17 Open
Premier Phoenix - 29th out of 32 teams in 17 Patriot
Premier EDGE 18 - 20th out of 48 teams in 18 Open

It was a great weekend of volleyball and a fun time with our Premier Family on and off the court.

PREMIER PEAK FINISHED 3RD OVERALL AFTER ADVANCING TO THE GOLD BRACKET. 

PREMIER COAST WORKED HARD AND CONTINUE TO IMPROVE EVERY DAY!
