Strikers Win Gold Medals!

Last weekend of January puts 16 Premier teams in action at various tournament sites! Check out the highlights here!


STRIKERS WIN GOLD AT MDJRS 13s Mixed

Our Strikers 13s team open their season with their first tournament at Maryland Juniors on Sunday.  Playing in MDJRS 13 mixed, they  finished 6-0 in pool play defeating SMJ 13 Explosion, Baltimore White 13 White and American 13-1.  In six sets, their opponent scored average of 11 per set.  Finishing 1st in their pool, they took the 2-seed in the Gold Bracket.  They met Metro North in semi-finals and defeated them in sets 25-18, 25- 18. In the final, they met the 1-seed EPAN 13 Gold. They battled with them through 2 sets coming from behind in 2nd set to win the match 25-14, 25-17.  Congratulations Strikers.  Job well done!


FUSION TAKE 2ND PLACE AT VOLLEY LIKE A ROCKSTAR 

Our Pink 12 Select, Fusion, traveled to King of Prussia to their first tournament.  For pool play, the team finished 7-1 in sets and finished #1 off their net to move into the playoff bracket.  They won their semi final match and then advanced to the championship match.   They lost a hard fought match in 3 to take 2nd place in the tournament. Great Job, Fusion!!


EDGE 14 represents Premier

@ the Mid-Atlantic Power League in Hampton, VA. 

The only team accepted in Hampton, VA, EDGE 14 worked hard to "mark" on the tournament. Starting as 16th seed in the tournament on Saturday, Premier EDGE 14 went 3-1 in the first two round of pool play and advance to the Gold Challenge Match. Unfortunately, they lost their challenge match and they advance to the Bronze Bracket. There they lost  in the 1st round of the Bronze Bracket to finished 12th overall, improving their original seed by 4 spots.  Great Job, Premier EDGE 14


Force and Power travel to Virginia Blast

to participate in Blizzard Blast. 

Power takes 2nd in the 14 Club Division!

Power finished undefeated on the first day of pool play  to advance the 3 team gold pool. They went 1-1 in the gold pool to finish 2nd overall. 

FORCE FINISHES 5TH IN 13 CLUB DIVISION!

Force finished with a record of 3-2 to take 5th place in 13 club division. 


OTHER SINGLE DAY TOURNAMENT RESULTS

EDGE 16 TAKE 3RD IN MDJRS 16 OPEN

EDGE 16 finished 2nd in pool play with a record 4-4  to advance the gold bracket for playoffs and lost in semi finals match. 

PURPLE FINISHES 3RD IN MDJRS 12S MIXED

Playing in their first tournament, Purple went 4-2 in pool play to take 2nd in their pool and move to the gold bracket.  They lose two close sets in the semi-final match to finish 3rd overall. 


PULSE FINISHES 3RD AT VIENNA ELITE 13/14 INVITE

Premier Pulse finished 5-1 in their pool to advance to Gold Playoff Bracket.  They faced a tough opponent and lost their semi final match. 

PHOENIX PLACES 3RD IN COLUMBIA 17/18

Phoenix went 5-3 in pool play to finish 2nd place in the pool play and advance to the gold bracket. They lost in the semi final match. 

 


DIGGERZ TAKE 3RD IN MDJRS 15S MIXED

Diggerz finished 6-0 in pool play to get 1st in the pool and advanced to the gold playoff bracket and lost in semi finals

WAVE WINS THE SILVER BRACKET AT MDJRS 14 MIXED

Wave finished 3-3 in the pool play and went to Silver Playoff Bracket. They won their semi final match in 2 sets and then went on to Silver final and played MD Volleyball. They won their final match in sets to take home the Silver Bracket. 

STORM FINISHED 2ND IN THE SILVER BRACKET AT SOMDVBC 15/16S INVITE

Storm finished 4-2 in pool play which sent them to the silver playoff bracket. They won their semi final match and lost their silver final.


Wolves compete in their 2nd tournament at SOMDVBC 15/16 Invite

Wolves finished 5-1 in pool play where 3 points shy of making to the gold playoff bracket and fall to the silver.  They met a solid opponent and lost in the semi final of the Silver. 

Shock participated in MDJRS 15/16

Shock finished 2-4 in pool play and went to the silver bracket where they lost their semi final match. Coach said they made continual improvement as the day went by. 

INFINITY PLAYS IN BALTIMORE ELITE 17/18 INVITE

Infinity kickoff their season at Baltimore Elite 17/18 on Sunday.
