It was another busy weekend for Premier Teams. 15 teams competed in the region over the weekend. Check out the highlights below.
Premier Wolf Pack Wins the GOLD at Columbia 13/14 Presidents' Day Invitational
Premier Wolf Pack participated in the Columbia 13/14 Presidents' Day Invitational on Saturday. Finishing 5-1 in the pool play, Wolf Pack took 1st in their pool. In the semi final match, they defeated MVA 14-1 - 25-13, 25-10 to advance to the championship match. In three set thriller, they defeated Columbia Eagles 13 - 25-13, 24-26, 15-10 to win the tournament! This is their 2nd gold medal in two weeks!
Premier Lightning takes 2nd in the Braddock Road 15 Invitational.
Finishing undefeated (6-0) in pool play, Lightning finished 1st in their pool on Saturday at the Braddock Road 15 Invitational in Virginia. Winning their semi final match vs BRYC 15 American 25-11, 25-19, they faced MOJO Elite Inferno in the final. Fighting hard, they lost 25-22 and 25-21 in the final and finished 2nd in the tournament.
Premier Pulse takes 2nd place in the Titans 14 Winterfest
Playing in a five team pool, Pulse traveled to Alexandra, Virginia to compete in Titans Winterfest on Saturday. They finished 3-1 in match play to take 2nd place in the tournament!
Premier Fusion competed in the MDJRS 16 Open on Saturday. Playing in 6 team pool, Fusion finished the pool play in a tie for 2nd place. In one set thriller, Fusion came from behind to tie the match at 20 with MVA and unfortunately lose 25-23 to take 3rd in the tournament!
Premier Wolves played in the MDJRS 15 Open on Sunday. Facing some of the best teams in the regions, Wolves finished 3-3 in the pool play to take 2nd in their pool play and advance to the gold bracket. They lost their semi match to take a 3rd in the tournament. It was great showing for Wolves!
Premier Eclipse competed in the Baltimore Elite 15 Invitational on Sunday. Finishing 5-1 in the pool play, they were 2nd in the pool and advance to gold bracket. They lost in the semi final match to Hub City to take 3rd!
It was a Premier Party at MDJRS 13/14 Mixed at MDJRS on Saturday with three Premier 13s team participating - Crush, Express and Pancake. All of the teams advanced to the Bronze Bracket. The first semi final was a Premier match between Crush and Pancake with Express working the match. Crush won the match and advance to the final to play Express. Crush won the match (25-21, 25-18) to win the Bronze. It was a fun day for all!
Premier Pearl won Silver Medals at Baltimore Elite 15 Invitational on Sunday!
Premier Pistols finished 2nd in the Silver Bracket to finish 5th overall at Eastern Shore Showdown this weekend.
Premier Crossfire finished 11th in the Eastern Shore Showdown this weekend!
