Premier Competes in Atlantic Coast Power League

Five Premier teams competed in Atlantic Coast Power League in Greensboro, North Carolina while eight teams participated in CHRVA's single day tournament this weekend -  Check out the highlights and results below!


Premier EDGE 16 Wins GOLD at Atlantic Coast Power League in 16 Open Division

Premier EDGE 16 was the big story in Greensboro.  Premier EDGE 16 won both their pools with several thrilling three set matches often coming from behind to win on Saturday to stay undefeated going to the Gold Bracket Playoff.  Premier EDGE 16  continue to fight hard on Sunday. Their quarterfinal match was against HOV 16 national and went an exciting 3 set to win 15-13!  Then the semi final vs NC Elite started with another nail biter with the 1st set going and back to win 26-24 and winning the 2nd set 25-18.  They met CHR National 16 again in the final and once a three set match to win 15-12.  They fought hard all weekend to go undefeated (7-0)  and  take home the GOLD at Atlantic Coast Power League!!


EDGE 14, EDGE 15,  Express and Pride also traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in Atlantic Coast Power League where they competed in two full day of competition.   

Results:

EDGE 14 (14 Open) - 3rd Place
EDGE 15 (15 Open) - 5th Place
Express (14 Club) - 8th Place
Pride (16 Club) -  9th Place


Premier EDGE 17 Takes 1st in the MDJRS 17 Open Tournament!

Premier EDGE 17 went 4-2 in pool play to finish 2nd in their pool which set them up for a semi final match against MVSA 17 Blizzard.   Previously defeating MVSA Blizzard at Monument City Classic a few weekend ago, it was definitely going to be an exciting re-match.  Dropping the first set in 25-27 thriller, Premier EDGE 17 rebounded to win 25-20 and it was on to a race to 15.  The set was back and forth but Premier EDGE won a ticket to the Gold Final - 15-12.   In the final, they faced American who they had lost to in pool play.  But in this final, Premier EDGE 17 picked up their game and won the championship in 2 sets - 25-8, 25-23!!


Premier Arsenal and Premier EDGE 18 both competed in the MDJRS 17/18 Mixed

Both teams finished 1st in their pool play.  Premier Arsenal went 6-0 and Premier EDGE 18 went 5-1, winning their pool on points!   With 16 teams in the tournament, all 1st place teams in pool play go to the Gold Bracket.  In the gold bracket, Arsenal was the 2 seed and Premier EDGE 18 was 3 seed so they met in the semi-finals. In the nail-biting match, Premier Arsenal took the 1st set 25-18, Premier EDGE 18 rebounded and took the 2nd set 28-26 and Premier Arsenal narrowly won the 3rd  set in a back and forth battle 15-12 to advance the Gold Final. 

Premier Arsenal met Cecil Black in the final and lost in 2 and take the 2nd in the tournament. 

It was a great tournament for both teams!
