Our Premier teams were at it again this past weekend. We have 13 teams competing in three different states, Pittsburgh, PA, Hampton, VA and various cities in Maryland and Pennsylvania - So it was a lot of volleyball and even more fun together! Check the highlights below!
Four Teams Traveled to Pittsburgh to compete in JVA Steel City Freeze
Badgers, Lightning, Fusion and EDGE 18 made their way west this weekend to the Steel City of Pittsburgh. Each team competed on Saturday and Sunday at the Convention Center. After playing on Saturday, all teams enjoyed some downtime together and parents players and coaches had a great weekend. Some teams even got some sightseeing!!! Parents and players say "This tournament is a keeper!"

Premier Wolves Win GOLD at MDJRS 15 Mixed
Premier Wolves started the weekend off great for Premier traveling to Maryland Juniors to compete in MDJRS 15 Mixed. They went 5-1 in pool play to win their pool play and then they advanced to the Gold Bracket. They defeated Metro South in their semi final match 25-22, 25-21 to advance the championship final. Then they fought hard in the championship vs Metro North to win 25-23, 26-24 to take home the gold medal for the tournament!
Three teams compete in MDJRS 14 Open/Club on Sunday!
Premier EDGE 14 wins the GOLD at MDJRS 14 Open Division
Premier EDGE 14 competed in the open division of the Maryland Juniors 14 tournament on Sunday. Finishing 3-3 in pool play, they advance to the Gold Bracket of the tournament. They defeated Loudon Elite 14s in the Semi Finals (25-16, 25-19). In the championship match, their opponent was Metro North who had lost to in pool play. In the championship match, they set the ship right and defeated Metro North in straight sets - 25-21, 25-11 - to win the GOLD.
Premier Wolf Pack Finishes 1st in the MDJRS 14 Club Division
Premier Wolf Pack participated in the club division of the Maryland Juniors 14 tournament on Sunday. Finishing 5-1 in pool play, they advance to the Gold Bracket of the tournament. They defeated LEVBC U13 in the Semi Finals (19-25, 25-22,15- ). In the championship match, they played Tier One and won in 2 straight sets (25-13, 25-23).
Premier Notorious D.I.G. Finishes 3rd in the MDJRS 14 Club Division
Going undefeated in the pool play, Premier Notorious D.I.G. advanced to the Gold Bracket in MDJRS 14 Tournament in Club Division. They met Tier One in the semi finals and lost in 2 (12-25, 6-25)>
Premier EDGE 16 wins GOLD at the ECP Winter Blast Tournament!
Premier EDGE 16 traveled north to Carbini University on Sunday to compete in the ECP Winter Blast. With record of 2-1 in pool play, EDGE 16 finished 2nd in the pool and advanced to the playoffs. In the quarterfinals, they played an exciting three set match and made an incredible comeback in 3rd being back 10-4 to win the match. They won the semi finals in 2 to get the final match. In the final match, they met Keystone Juniors who had lost to for early in the pool play. In another three set thriller, they defeated Keystone Juniors to win the 12 team tournament!
Premier EDGE 17 and Premier Phoenix traveled to Hampton, VA to represent Premier in Mid-Atlantic Power League
Premier EDGE 17 met some tough competition in the black division in their first pool day with Metro 18 Travel and Triangle 16 and lost both matches. They rebounded in the afternoon pool and tough hard and finished 1-3 for the day. Then, on Sunday, they fought hard and competed well against two strong teams!
Premier Phoenix competed in the blue division at MAPL. They started the tournament seeded 58th and improved their seed by finishing 33rd and winning Flight A Bracket. They went 4-3 in match play for the weekend. They had a great showing and competed in every match they played!

Premier Pistols played in the SOMVBC 16s Tournament on Saturday. They won the Silver Bracket!
Premier Eclipse competed in Baltimore Elite 15/16 Invitational. They advanced to Gold Bracket and lost in the semis. They finished 3rd in the tournament.
