RAVEN SCOTT

Raven, a native of Louisiana, started her volleyball career with Hahnville High School in Boutte, LA. A four-year letter winner and a three year starter, Raven trained as a setter and a right side. Building on her hardwork ethic and development potential, Raven was recruited to play at Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. Raven excelled at Millsaps early on, earning the honor of Freshman on the Year in her first year as a right-side hitter. Raven continued to grow earning All-Conference honors and the title of captain during her tenure. Upon completing her 4-years at Millsaps, Raven remained in Jackson and served as the head volleyball coach for a local high school team for two years while teaching and earning her master's degree from The University of Mississippi. Raven then continued to grow her own skill set in 2015, moving to Spain to teach English and playing with a club team. She then returned to Millsaps, her alma mater, to serve as the assistant coach.

Raven now works for Strive, an education non-profit in downtown Wilmington teaching students to practice the leadership skills she herself had to learn and practice in her athletic teams. All of these experiences are embedded in her coaching philosophy to teach life skills through sports.
