DAVE PRICHARD

Dave Prichard
head Coach - EDGE 17
CLUB DIRector

Dave Prichard has a passion to grow volleyball in his community. He wants people to fall in love with the game as much as he does. Dave creates his practices to be an outlet for athletes to get away from the real world for a couple hours and clear their minds and have fun. He cares a ton about his coaching staff and players each year. He feels a lot of lessons can be learned throughout a season of playing for him, even if they aren’t learned in the time frame of that season.

Dave has been involved with volleyball since he started playing his sophomore year of high school. Once he graduated, his high school coach asked him to join as a volunteer assistant for the boys program where he helped claim 2 county titles in his 2 years tenure. Dave also started coaching boys club following his graduation. This is where his love for the club scene began. After coaching for a couple boys clubs in Maryland, Dave got married to his wife Ellen and moved to Delaware. Dave was made aware of a need for coaches at Delaware Juniors began coaching boys for them. After a year with the club, he realized that there was a lot of opportunity for him to grow in volleyball. His 2nd year with the club, he continued to coach boys but also began to coach on the girls side. Dave just finished his 4th year with the club and earned his team earned a trip to Nationals after winning CHRVA Open Regionals at the 16s age group.

Dave also had the opportunity to work with the University of Delaware volleyball team in the fall of 2017 as their Technical Coordinator. He has also spent time volunteering at a few different colleges summer camps and clinics. Dave has attended 2 Gold Medal Squared coaching clinics and has been to the AVCA Coaches Convention the past 2 years. He is a sponge when it comes to learning the game. He is constantly changing his philosophy as he continues to grow in the game. Dave is excited for a new opportunity with Premier. He has been eager to get in the gym with them and learn from others experiences as well as share his.
