Brandi Deene
HEAD COACH - WHITE SELECT 16

Coach Brandi Deene started her volleyball career in Maryland at age 9. After moving to Delaware in 2003, she continued to play volleyball in the CYM program. Coach Deene played volleyball for Polytech High School in Woodside, DE. She was a utility player; from setting her freshman year, to outside attacker to finishing her senior year as a middle blocker. Coach Deene has a variety of skill sets to bring to the table.  Although she chose a different collegiate sport, her passion has always been volleyball and she is excited to be a part of the Premier Volleyball Family!

When her career as a player ended, Coach Deene began coaching and continued for the last 8 years. Most of that time spent in Delaware but she did venture off to Louisiana for one season. She started coaching volleyball while she was the Sports Coordinator at a local YMCA. Her main mission was to grow the volleyball program throughout her community with youth and adult programs. Her most recent coaching position has been with Dover High School as a Volunteer Assistant Coach under Dover HS Head Coach Alaina Schleich.

Coach Deene’s coaching philosophy can be summed up with 3 words: head, heart, & hustle. She believes a player must be able to execute mentally as well as physically, have passion during inside them, as well as a drive to compete/win, and without a doubt, hustle always. Coach Deene believes solid teamwork is the backbone to all successful teams. She believes in the winning together, losing together, learning together and most importantly growing together. She believes all great teams build great chemistry on and off the court. Coach Deene states “if you push yourself on and off the court, hold yourself accountable for learning from your mistakes and errors, you will be successful, in all aspects, not just volleyball.”
