Adrienne Schwander
Head Coach - PINK SELECT 12s

Volleyball has been a blessing in Adrienne's life and has provided her opportunities that most people don't get a chance to receive.  She has been playing volleyball since 4th grade in the CYM atmosphere.  She also played club volleyball since the age of 10, starting at the 14 and under level through 18's.

Her high school career is something that many players only dream of.  She started all four years on varsity at St. Elizabeth's High School, had four State Tournament appearances, two of which were the State Finals.  Adrienne was named to the Catholic Conference 2nd team her junior year and 1st team her senior year.  She was also named 2nd team All-State her senior year.

Adrienne proceeded to play in college on a volleyball and academic scholarship at Goldey-Beacom College for 3 years.  During her career she was voted to the All-Tournament team her freshman year by the CACC coaches, achieved 5 triple doubles, named player of the week for the CACC, and in 2005 won the CACC Division moving on to the elite 64 NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship along with receiving a degree in Accounting in four years.

Adrienne completed her college career at Wilmington University where she received a scholarship for volleyball while pursuing her master’s degree.

Adrienne has coached at Archmere Academy and Christiana High School and at multiple age levels of club.  She believes she has found her niche with coaching the younger players, as her passion is for teaching players the individual skills, solid fundamentals, and the volleyball IQ (knowledge) needed for a solid foundation in the sport of volleyball.
